Tomorrow, one of the world’s largest airlines Delta Air Lines, will launch its upgraded Boeing 777 to the Australian market.

Featuring a raft of luxury updates, the daily flight between Sydney and LAX will debut the first business class suite with a door flying between Australia and the United States.

The 28 award-winning Delta One Suites feature a full height sliding door, sliding privacy dividers between centre suites, 180-degree flat-bed seats, customisable ambient lighting, and a high-resolution in-flight entertainment screen.

The Boeing 777 aircraft also features all four branded seat products offered by Delta – including Delta One suite, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin – offering a wider choice and more options for travellers to tailor their flights.

The updates also align Delta’s products with partner Virgin Australia’s offering.

In addition to the Delta One suite updates, the aircraft now features the airline’s new premium economy cabin with greater recline, a foot and leg rest and luxury touches like plated meals.

The airline already offers (for this route) nine-abreast seating, the widest main cabin seats of Delta’s international fleet at 47cm, seatback entertainment screens with access to Delta Studio, state of the art ambience features, WiFi connectivity, free mobile messaging and power ports at every seat.

Other amenities added in the last few years include:

- Free mobile messaging, free in-flight entertainment, and access to Wi-Fi on nearly all flights
- Free Main Cabin meals on select coast-to-coast routes in the U.S.
- Upgraded Main Cabin snacks and refreshed Flight Fuel food-for-purchase options on certain U.S. routes
- The addition of sparkling wine in Main Cabin
- Enhanced blankets in Main Cabin
- Refreshed TUMI amenity kits with Kiehl's products and an Alessi-designed collection of serviceware in Delta One

All Delta Air Lines Boeing 777-200ER flights from 3 April 2019 between Sydney and Los Angeles will be fitted with the upgrades.
