Alaska

Home to towering glaciers, rugged mountains, long summer days and a whole heap of moose, mother nature was seriously showing off when she made Alaska. If you’re keen to witness the raw beauty for yourself, immerse yourself in unique city life and even chase the Fairbanks Northern lights, Flight Centre’s range of Alaska tour packages are the perfect place to start.

First things first, when you arrive take the opportunity to discover the urban charm of Alaska’s largest city with Anchorage city visits. You can also step back in time, learn about native Tlingit culture and explore the former Russian capital by visiting Sitka historical sites.

With the city sights sorted, your attention can turn to Alaska’s vast natural wonders. Experience the majesty of North America’s tallest peak while spotting grizzly bears with Denali National Park tours. Alternatively, Wrangell-St Elias National Park is a hotspot for rugged and remote landscapes. Glacier Bay cruises are the perfect way to watch for calving icebergs, while Kenai Fjords National Park is a must for anyone hoping to capture the rugged beauty of Alaska’s coastline.

Bring your binoculars, ready to spot giants of the sea with Juneau whale watching tours.  Or take a boat ride and discover Seward marine wildlife like sea otters, puffins and seals in Resurrection Bay.

Finally, fill your belly and your camera roll with some epic memories by catching salmon and halibut as part of a Ketchikan fishing trip. Unwinding in breathtaking scenery after scoring the catch of the day? Put that at the top of our Alaskan bucket list, please.
