Day 1 Arrival in San DiegoArrive in San Diego and get settled into your accommodation. Spend your first evening exploring the Gaslamp Quarter, enjoying the vibrant nightlife and waterfront views.
Day 2 Explore San DiegoStart your day at Balboa Park, home to the famous San Diego Zoo and beautiful gardens. In the afternoon, take a scenic drive along the coast to Coronado Beach or Old Town for more historic charm and relaxation.
Day 3 Drive to Los Angeles (190 km)
After breakfast, hit the road and drive north on the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) towards Los Angeles (approximately 190 km). On your way, stop at scenic coastal towns like La Jolla or Laguna Beach for views of the Pacific, then continue on to Los Angeles. Enjoy a sunset stroll on Santa Monica Pier once you arrive.
Day 4 Los Angeles HighlightsExplore Los Angeles today, starting with the Hollywood Walk of Fame and TCL Chinese Theatre. In the afternoon, head to Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive for some shopping, or relax in the artistic neighbourhoods of Venice Beach and Santa Monica.
Day 5 A Day at the BeachToday, take the scenic PCH drive to Malibu for a relaxing day at Zuma Beach. Enjoy lunch at a beachfront cafe before returning to Los Angeles for a visit to the Getty Villa, which offers art collections and beautiful gardens overlooking the ocean.
Day 6 Drive to Santa Barbara (150 km)
Drive north along the PCH to Santa Barbara (approximately 150 km), taking in beautiful coastal views along the way. Upon arrival, explore State Street for shopping and dining, or visit the historic Santa Barbara Mission for a glimpse into the area's rich history.
Day 7 Explore Santa BarbaraTake in the natural beauty of Santa Barbara today by visiting the beautiful lotus-filled Lotusland Gardens or head to East Beach for a relaxing day in the sun. Later, explore the nearby wine country or take a scenic drive through the rolling hills.
Day 8 Drive to Monterey (230 km)
Continue your road trip north along the PCH, with a drive of about 230 km to Monterey. Make stops in charming towns like Cambria or the rugged cliffs of Big Sur before arriving in Monterey. Once there, visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium or explore historic Cannery Row.
Day 9 Explore MontereyTake a scenic drive along the famous 17-Mile Drive or explore Point Lobos State Natural Reserve, where you can enjoy stunning coastal views and wildlife. In the afternoon, wander around downtown Monterey or rent a bike to explore the scenic coastal trail.
Day 10 Drive to San Francisco (190 km)
Today, head north towards San Francisco, a drive of about 190 km along the scenic PCH. Upon arrival, visit the iconic Golden Gate Bridge for some photos, then explore the lively Fisherman's Wharf and hop on a ferry to Alcatraz Island for a fascinating historic tour.
Day 11 San Francisco LandmarksExplore more of San Francisco today, including the bustling Chinatown, the historic Ferry Building, and the bohemian Mission District. Ride the famous cable cars, then end your day with dinner at a waterfront restaurant with beautiful views of the Golden Gate Bridge.
Day 12 A Day in the Bay AreaTake a day trip to Muir Woods National Monument (about 30 km from the city) to explore the towering redwood trees. Alternatively, wander through Golden Gate Park, or visit neighborhoods like Haight-Ashbury and Castro for a unique San Francisco experience.
Day 13 Departure from San FranciscoOn your final day, visit any sights you might have missed, such as the Exploratorium or the Painted Ladies in Alamo Square. Afterward, enjoy a final meal in the North Beach area before heading to the airport for your departure.
