Bergen boasts a rich history dating back over 900 years when it first emerged as a humble trading post. With time, it grew into a flourishing maritime city and an essential hub on Norway's western coast.
Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred to the hotel. After check-in, the remainder of the day is yours to explore the city at your own pace.

Day 2, Bergen
Your day starts with an engaging walking tour of Bergen's top attractions, with your private guide meeting you at the hotel.
During this tour, stroll through the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bryggen, an old wharf area adorned with Hanseatic commercial buildings, a nod to Bergen's significant role in the Hanseatic League empire during the 14th-16th century. Visit the bustling traditional fish market, where local catches have been traded for over 800 years. Meander through charming streets and narrow alleyways, discovering well-preserved wooden houses from the 18th and 19th centuries.
To end your day, why not enjoy a round-trip ride on the Floibanen funicular railway (approx EUR12 per person paid locally), which whisks you to the summit of Mount Fl?yen, granting you magnificent views of the city below.

Day 3, Bergen
Today is a day at leisure to explore Bergen at your own pace.
Explore its historic harbour and waterfront, where you can revisit the iconic Bryggen Wharf and admire the well-preserved Hanseatic commercial buildings.
Bergen boasts an array of cultural attractions, including the KODE Art Museums, where you can explore Norwegian and international art. You can also venture into the local shops and boutiques or consider a scenic hike along one of the nearby trails, which provide stunning views of the surrounding fjords and mountains.
Alternatively, you can simply unwind in one of the city's cozy cafes, enjoying a cup of coffee while taking in the breathtaking views. And if you're feeling more adventurous, you may choose to embark on a boat tour to explore the famous fjords that make Bergen a renowned destination.

Your Norwegian adventure comes to an end after hotel breakfast. Depending on your departure schedule, you may have some remaining time to explore the city and visit any last-minute attractions.
You will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
