Situated on the border of Nepal and Tibet, the kingdom of upper Mustang famed for its abiding Buddhist culture offers an outstanding experience beyond the more popular trekking trails. Our specially devised itinerary combines days for appreciating the deep cultural heritage of Mustang with moderate trek across the heartland of this Trans Himalayan region. Our trip drives to the ancient capital of Tsarang to the present capital at Lo Manthang where the King still reigns at least in name, over this secluded kingdom. Our trek is a must for the discerning trekker intent to appreciate the wealth of Buddhist settlements and tiny monasteries set amid an awesome backdrop of snow-capped peaks that extend north to Tibet and south to the mighty Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.
