Denpasar International Airport

About Denpasar Airport

The official name of Denpasar International Airport is Ngurah Rai International Airport Bali. If you’re not Indonesian, you’ll probably lean towards referring to Bali’s only international airport as Denpasar International Airport or even Bali Airport – both of which are more common than the official name. Denpasar International Airport is located in the south of the island of Bali, just below Denpasar. It is a major hub for Garuda Indonesia and is the second-busiest airport in Indonesia, after Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, which services Jakarta and the north of the country.

What facilities are at Denpasar Airport?

From the opportunity to have a relaxing massage before you fly to secure baggage-wrap facilities, Denpasar International Airport has a good range of airport services.

Transport and terminal transfers

What’s the best way to get to and from Denpasar Airport?

Taxi: A 24-hour taxi service operates to and from Denpasar Airport, operated by Taksi Ngurah Rai. The best way to catch a taxi from Bali Airport is to first go to the Taxi Counter when you’ve collected your luggage. At the international terminal, the Taxi Counter is located next to the information desk after you pass through the duty-free shopping arcade. At the domestic terminal, it is through the glass sliding doors and to your left. At the counter, you can advise staff of your hotel location, after which you’ll receive a quote on a piece of paper and this is what you pay the taxi driver at the end of your trip. There is no metered taxi service from the airport, it’s all based on set fares.

Public Transport: There are several public bus services to the city centre. For more information, talk to staff at the information desk.

Parking: Denpasar Airport offers three different car parks (Regular, Premium and Multi-Level) as well as parking for the ubiquitous motorbike.
