EPISODE ITINERARY
Day 1
12pm – Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa
Greer has landed at Nadi International, and headed straight for her hotel, the Hilton Resort & Spa, Denarau, where her old friend and Fiji expert, Sera is waiting. Sera is waiting amidst beautiful tropical gardens, with a packed 48 hour itinerary for Greer! First up, they are off to the marina, Greer has a pretty good idea of what the first activity might be…
1pm - Malamala Island Beach Club
Sera takes Greer to the marina and they jump on board a boat to the Malamala Beach Club, in the Mamanuca Islands. This beach club is on its own island, and it is all kinds of luxe. The girls are escorted to a private cabana, where they start the holiday with a refreshing drink before jumping straight into the crystal clear water – how could they resist!
After working up an appetite in the water, the girls head to the restaurant to meet chef Lance Seeto, an Australian of Chinese heritage, who now lives and cooks in the Fijian islands. He explains that he has developed the menu by bringing all of the Fijian techniques and flavours from around the islands to create a modern take on Fijian cuisine in his menu.
After lunch they take a splash in the infinity pool before cruising back to the mainland with South Sea Cruises.
3pm – Beachside Spa, Hilton Denarau
The girls have made their way back to solid ground, and after an active few hours, Sera has just the fix Greer needs – a relaxing beachside massage at their hotel, the Hilton Denarau. They head out to the beachside location, where two friendly Fijian therapists are waiting to work their magic. The girls enjoy listening to the sound of the ocean as they fall into zen.
5pm – Koro Adults Only Club, Hilton Denarau
Feeling renewed and refreshed, they head out for an afternoon cocktail at KORO at the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa. It is their exclusive adults-only area, where the pair grab a drink and take a swim in the pool as the sun sets.
8pm – Private Beach Dinner at Maravu, Denarau
After their swim, the girls have freshened up and are ready for dinner. They are treated to a private dining experience offered by Maravu at the Hilton. The staff have set up a beautiful cabana on the beach, covered in fairy lights for the girls to relax while overlooking the ocean in elegant ambience. Fresh local ingredients are incorporated into innovative, international cuisine, and the girls dig into perfectly grilled fresh mud crab and a whole fish!
Day 2
7am – Sigatoka River Safari
It’s early morning and Sera has decided to take Greer deep into the ‘real Fiji’ landscape for a jet boat safari. They get to experience a bit of Fiji that is a little less known about, but equally as beautiful as the islands. They meet their guide Mike, who takes them whizzing down the Sigatoka river, past local villages, farms and green landscapes.
10am – Abseiling and Zip Lining at Momi Bay
Now it’s time to head up to Momi Bay for something a little more active. Greer and Sera meet her friend Matthew at Zip Fiji, who takes them through the jungle, zip lining and abseiling 40 meters into a spectacular cave. This is one hell of an adrenaline rush for the pair!
12pm – Pacific Island Air Seaplane to the Yasawa Islands
Sera has organised for the rest of her time with Greer to be spent in the Yasawa Islands, and because time is of the essence, they hop on board a seaplane to head out – and see the islands from above! On arrival the girls are welcomed by local Fijian staff from Paradise Cove, who serenade them, dress them in leis and make them feel right at home.
2pm – Paradise Cove
Sera introduces Greer to Dave Good, co-founder of Paradise Cove. He welcomes them to the resort and takes them straight to a beach BBQ! Freshly caught seafood, sashimi, sushi, salads and dessert, the chefs have certainly been busy! Dave sits down with the girls for lunch and explains what makes this part of the world so special to him.
3:30pm Jet Skiing & Snorkelling around the Yasawa Islands
Dave has a jam packed afternoon in store for the girls, starting with a jet ski ride! Greer gets some air hitting a few waves with Dave, before they enjoy a spot of snorkelling. Next, they’re taken to some stunning caves in the Yasawas, that not many people other than the locals know about. They dive in and swim under the rocky caves, it reminds Greer a little of the famous Blu Grotto in Italy. They swim under the walls into a pitch black cave too, eeeek!
5pm – Floating on tyre tubes
Greer, Sera, Dave and some other guests enjoy the last light of the day, floating on tubes as the sun starts to set. In champagne bay, around the corner from Paradise Cove, this is something the resort offers all guests, and is an incredible way to wind down after a busy day.
7pm – Dinner at Sunset Point, Paradise Cove
The girls end the day with dinner while they’re serenaded by live local music. What more could you ask for!?
Day 3
8am – Breakfast, Paradise Cove
The girls join Dave for their last morning, enjoying private breakfast in front of one of the top villas, complete with its own plunge pool and beach front location. They sit and enjoy some fruit, coffee and thank Dave for his incredible hospitality, before they take on the last few hours.
9am – Scuba Diving, Kuata Barefoot Island
Not quite ready to hang up the swimmers just yet, Sera has something a little more thrilling instore for Greer’s last morning. They are dropped at Kuata Barefoot Island for a scuba session with the friendly local reef sharks!
12pm – One last walk along the beach
Greer bids Sera farewell with one last walk along the beach at Paradise Cove. After both a jam-packed, yet relaxing 48 hours, Greer tells Sera it’s the warm hospitality and infectious smiles of the locals that has really made her day. What an incredible 48 hours it has been!
